The Westfalia Kipling is a compact 4-seater campervan built on the Ford Transit Custom chassis, designed for both everyday use and long-distance travel. Named after author Rudyard Kipling, it features a unique interior layout with a permanent but modular rear bed and a pop-top roof.
Key Interior Features
The Kipling's layout is centered around maximizing space for up to four people to sleep and travel comfortably.
Sleeping Quarters: It includes a fixed modular transverse double bed (190 x 130 cm) in the rear and a second double bed (192 x 128 cm) in the elevating pop-top roof.
Panoramic Views: The pop-top canvas can be unzipped to reveal 240° panoramic mesh windows, providing airflow and wide-open views.
Modular Storage: The slatted base of the rear bed can be adjusted or removed entirely to create an XXL storage compartment for bulky gear like bikes or surfboards.
Full Kitchen: The side kitchen unit is equipped with two gas burners, a 51-litre compressor fridge, a sink, and a Truma hot water system.
Convenience: It features a fixed cassette toilet at the rear that slides out for use when needed.
Base Vehicle: Built on the latest Ford Transit Custom II with a 2.0l TDCi engine (136hp or 170hp options) and available with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Dimensions: Approximately 5.45m long, 2.27m wide, and 2.04m high, making it agile for city streets.
Driver Assistance: Standard equipment includes a 13-inch display, reversing camera, intelligent cruise control, and lane-keeping assist.
